Through pattern and color, Giulia Peyrone reveals the narratives that embody the spirit of people and places around the globe. A multidisciplinary contemporary visual artist based in New York and Milan, she visually reconciles her identity as half-Italian and half-Thai alongside being raised in a family of avid travelers. In her art, she conveys the insatiable passion she discovered for exploring new places.
After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Art, she moved to New York where she established her first studio. Taking from her years as a classical and contemporary dancer and her work in the fashion industry, she developed her own signature aesthetic. It was from these experiences that she brought together rhythm and pattern combining them with vibrant color palettes to evoke the intangible sensations of existing in new spaces. She found creative methods of transforming static visual images into dynamic works that induce the appearance of vibration or movement that unearth new meanings and emotions in her subjects. Her work uncovers the nuances of the human experience, translating the experience and feelings of a moment as it relates to a sense of place.
To date, she has exhibited her work around the world, including an installation at the historic Ponte Vecchio in Florence.
