    Oil on canvas, 2020.

Curator's notes: "Here, a woman, whose head and chest are covered in a red, white, and blue textile, holds her hand to her heart, as if to pledge allegiance. In light of the current climate, Coverly wanted to communicate how she feels silenced and invisible as an American woman. Using her mother’s hand as a model, she emphasizes intergenerational solidarity." - Hall W. Rockefeller
